20世紀少年・21世紀少年 読了
読み切りました、20世紀少年（21世紀少年を含む）。
DVD の第一章を見て、先が知りたくなってしまったので、古本屋とか回ったけどなかなかなくって。そしたら友人が持っていたので20世紀少年を全巻借りました。でも21世紀少年はなかったのですが、Twitter でつぶやいたら、うれしい reply をいただいて、お借りして、最後まで読む事ができました。ほんと皆さんありがとうございました。
こんな声もありましたが、僕はとても面白かったです。すっきりしました。これは推理小説じゃないので誰が犯人かを当てるストーリーではないのですね。推理しようとすると面白くない結果かもしれません。そうじゃなくて、大人になってからのあやふやな子供の頃の記憶のこと、子供の頃の発想の豊かさ、そういったものを言いたいのだと思います。
読み終わった後は子供の頃の記憶をたどる作業をしてます。なにげに最近は近所で旧友に遭遇することが多いんだけど最初に名前が全然出てこない。「おお！久しぶり」って言えるけど名前がすぐに出てこないとかね。だから主人公の気持ちが分かるですよ。
それから昔はバンドを組んでいた主人公が再び歌を歌っているのを見て僕もギターを引っ張りだしてきました。もちろん 20th Century Boy も弾きました。あの頃はがむしゃらだったなぁ。何か興奮を探している思春期とか何か色々と懐かしい気持ちになりました。20世紀少年は1960年代、70年代の当たりにはジャストミートしますね。
映画の第二章はあいにく見ていませんが、DVDになったら第二章を見てみたいと思います。
