Bootstrap v3 になってドロップダウンメニュー内のサブメニューがなくなったんですね。
Bootstrap の移行方法を読みつつ、2 から 3 に移行していて、「ああ Grid は .span* から .col-md-* になったのか」とか「fluid grid system がないから .row-fluid は .row にするのか」とか思いながら淡々と文字列を replace しました。そしてタイトルにもあるように Dropdown submenu が削除されているわけです。
理由は次の通りでした。

@quasipickle We haven't seen anyone using submenus in meaningful ways and the code necessary to make them work well is just too much overhead. Submenus just don't have much of a place on the web right now, especially the mobile web. They will be removed with 3.0.

とはいえどうしようかなあ。Bootstrap v2 に残り続けるとか、Submenus を独自で実装するとかなんかあれだし、これまで使ってたサブメニューをどうしようかなあ。。階層を上げたりメニュー追加したりってことになるだろうな。
