MTDDC Meetup KYUSHU 2013 で Lightning Talk しました

Movable Type のイベントで話す機会は今回が初めてで、しかも DDC = Developers and Designers Conference ということでプログラマでない人もいるから、どこが刺さるかなーと思って考えた結果、技術的だけど SEO とかにもちょっと関連する PubSubHubbub とその Movable Type のプラグイン MT-PubSubHubbub について紹介しました。
PubSubHubbub (発音としては パブサブハバブ ね。) は簡単に噛み砕いて言うと「記事の更新を各サーバに通知するための仕組み」です。記事が更新されたことを即時で Google などに伝えたいときに効果的なので記事を早くインデックスさせたいときには便利だと思います。2009年頃に作られたので少し古い技術ですが割と知られてないところっぽいので紹介させてもらいました。普段使う MT のプラグインのひとつとして入れておくといいと思います。

キーノート、2トラック（デザイナー/デベロッパー向け、ウェブ活用向け） x 4セッション計8つ、ワークショップ 1つ、Lightning Talk 8名と盛りだくさんのイベントでした。募集人数100名が満席になるほどの盛況でした。（当日の欠席者はほとんどいなかったんじゃないかな。）割と若めの人も多く、男女比も6:4くらいで女性がいたような印象。活気がありました。ぼくはデザイナー/デベロッパー向けの部屋に入り浸ってました。

キーノートではシックス・アパートの自社ブログのアクセス数を紹介しながらソーシャルメディアとオウンドメディアの関係がデータとして出ていました。ソーシャルメディアをフローデータとした場合に、ブログをストックデータとして所有することの重要性が見えるデータが出ています。記事公開後はソーシャルメディアからの流入が最初に増える一方、検索エンジン経由の流入がどんどん増えていくのが時系列に見えるのが面白いです。

藤本さんはご自身で作られたプラグインの使い方を紹介されていました。野田さん、宮永さんが独自のタグやプラグインを作る方法をライブコーディングを駆使しながら紹介されていました。MT 界隈では著名なお三方による MT 拡張の手法についてはもしかしたらプログラムを作ったことがないような初心者の方には難しかったかもしれませんが、MT がそういう拡張性を持ったツールと思ってもらえるといいですね。
想像なのですが、たぶんプログラマではない MT ビギナーの人だと独自タグやプラグインを作る勘所が難しいような気がしました。どのタイミングで「作ろう」と思ったらいいのかがわからない。
ぼくの感覚として、独自タグは Twitter や Facebook などボタン系のウィジェットをタグ一発で呼び出せるのもメリットのひとつだと思うので、そういうときに独自タグを作るのもありかなと思いました。（もちろんテンプレートウィジェットでも表現できるけれども。）プラグインは MT の機能を拡張したいときですかね。記事を保存したタイミングで記事に細工をしたいとかそういうのとかですね。このあたりは明確な決まりはないのでいくつか経験してポイントをつかむ感じかなと思います。
EWMファクトリーさんの話では静的生成と動的生成の特性にあった運用を提案することで受注につながることもあるそうで、なかなか興味深かったです。サーバサイドの運用話に触れられていたので、普段は Lekumo (ルクモ) ビジネスブログの開発運用をしている立場としては楽しかったです。

LT は飛び込みの野田さんを含めて8名でした。いろいろな話題があって面白かったな。
懇親会
本編のあとは懇親会でした。鹿児島から北海道まで日本全国から集まっていることがわかりました。博多で開催なのに北海道からの参戦とかすごい！驚きです！ぼくの LT のときにも話したのですが、MT のコミュニティの最初は「自分の好きな MT タグを言う」ってのが話のきっかけとして良いと思います。ぼくは <MTEntryPermalink> が好きです。みなさんは何が好きですか？野田さんは今回デモで作ったMTDDCタグがお気に入りだって言ってました :D とても会話が盛り上がって、久しぶりに声がかすれてしまいました。楽しかったなあ。
その他
うまれてはじめて九州に上陸しました。
九州ルールでエスカレータは左に立てばいいのか、右に立てばいいのか。福岡空港から地下鉄で博多駅に到着したとき、運悪く駅のエスカレータに一番目に乗り込んでしまった。周りの人の動きがわからん。。。ついエスカレータを急ぎ足であがりました。少し振り返ったら、みんな左側に。おお、東京と同じですね。よかったー。
九州では「～っと」「～っと」ってみんなが方言を話しているのかと思ってました。西の人はみんなそうなのかと。そしたらぜんぜん訛ってなかったです。博多駅の駅ビルはすごくでかくて、訛りのない言葉と相まって、東京にいるような錯覚をしました。
博多駅に到着したらすぐにめん吉でとんこつラーメンを食べました。それ以降、博多らしい食事はしなかったですわ。もうちっと食べればよかったと思いつつも、なんか歩き疲れちゃって。今回はぜんぜん観光プラン練っていなかったので次回はもうちょっとプランを練ろうかな。
博多はほんのり雪がつもるほどでとても寒かったです。九州は東京より南にあるから暖かいと思っていましたが東京よりも寒かったです。びっくりしました。
